NaNoWriMo is on the horizon and writing groups everywhere are ramping up. The number of events for authors is overwhelming at this time of year, particularly at libraries. Some have already started providing programs, but there are many events planned throughout October, November and into December.

The first evening meeting of Author!Author! took place on Tuesday, October 1. The guest speaker was Jean Kostal of K Designs who answered questions and offered some design advice for bookmarks, postcards and business cards. 

Please join us as we discuss print swag for authors with graphic designer Jean Kostal of K Designs. Feel free to bring your own swag or swag you have collected from other authors as examples for the discussion. 

Patricia Rockwell hosted the first In Real Life meeting of Author!Author! since 2017 on this past Saturday, September 7, and was delighted to welcome 14 interested authors!

Several of our members were part of the Oswego Library Literary Festival on October 1. While you couldn't say book sales were exactly brisk for everyone, events like these can also be great networking opportunities. In attendance were Jerilyn Willin, Louise Brass, Kate Gingold, Patricia Rockwell, Luisa Buehler and Wayne Turmel.
